Freaks of Folklore’s symbols are all designed around the game’s theme of being creepy and paying homage to death. Even the low-value Royals are designed to look like Runes. The higher-value symbols are all different evil monsters or characters. There’s also a Wild symbol and Bonus symbol that can trigger a Free Spins round.

The low-value symbols in this game are the traditional Royals, paying anywhere from 4 to 200 depending on which symbol it is and how many you land on a Payline. Premium symbols pay anywhere from 20 to 400, depending on which one it is and how many you land. In addition to substituting for all symbols except the Bonus, the Wild symbol offers an instant payout of 2, 100, 400 or 500.

As with many other online slot games, the symbols that are based on the theme of the game are the premium values. Freaks of Folklore takes this one step further, by naming its four different bonus rounds after one of the premium symbols. The low-value symbols are the Royals that you’ll find in many other games, though these are designed to match up with the theme as well.
How to Win: Payline Structure & Exception Rules
You need to match at least three of the same symbols on a Payline from left to right on the Reels to form a win in this game. The exceptions to this rule are the evil Goat-headed monster and the Wild symbol, which you only need to match two of to get a payout. The Bonus symbol doesn’t offer any payout, but it does trigger the Free Spins round, which we’ll describe in more detail below.
Special Symbols: Free Spins Bonuses & Unique Feature Rounds
Three Bonus symbols are needed to trigger the Free Spins bonus round. You choose from one of four different bonus games that you can choose from — the Demon Goat Bonus, the Berserker Bunny Bonus, the Cursed Cupid Bonus, and the Jack O’Lantern Bonus. Each is named after a different character in the game, and each has its own unique features. You can also randomly trigger one of these bonus features after each spin while playing the base game.
